Zucchini Fries Recipe for Dogs
These treats are healthy and safe for virtually any pup. They are a great option for dogs with digestive issues and offer a low-calorie snack for pets on a diet.
I use crushed croquettes to flavor these delicacies. I also use egg white so the croquettes stick to the top of the zucchini fries.
You can replace the egg white with melted coconut oil. You can also use dehydrated dog treats or a commercial dog food seasoning sprinkled over the treats to make them more appealing to your pup.
Recipe: Zucchini Fries for Dogs
While shopping for ingredients to make these healthy dog treats, I recommend using organic and natural ingredients if possible. The best thing about preparing meals and treats for your dog is that you can skip all the unnecessary preservatives and artificial ingredients found in commercial products.

- 1 large zucchini
- 1 egg white
- dog treats or kibble (ground into powder)
Preheat your oven to 200˚F.
Cut the zucchini into slices about ⅛” thick. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Spread each slice with egg white. Can Grate croquettes or treats over sliced zucchini or use a food processor to grind them into powder.
Bake the delicacies in your oven at 200˚ for approximately 4 hours. You may need to bake them a little longer if they are not completely dry after 4 hours.

How to store: Store leftover zucchini chips in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 12 to 14 days. Remember that homemade treats do not have the preservatives that store-bought products do.
