You can invite dogs from the Franklin County Dog Shelter to your holiday sleepover

This holiday season, a family in central Ohio could once again make a big difference in the lives of some deserving puppies.

The Franklin County Dog Shelter is continuing its popular Holiday Sleepover program this year.

Interested families can keep a dog in their home during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s. Shelters are closed for the holidays, so this is a great way for puppies to get some extra snuggles during this time of limited human contact.

This shelter has all the supplies you need to welcome your furry friend on vacation. Staff will help attendees find the best fit and answer any questions they may have about bringing a puppy home.

Families with puppies are asked to take photos of their dogs and write about their experiences. This will help the dog get adopted in the future.

If you volunteer to adopt a dog and fall in love with it, you can adopt the puppy for just $18.

The Thanksgiving sleepover will be held from November 21st to 27th. Every year since the program began, hundreds of dogs find forever homes thanks to Holiday Sleepover. Pick-up for overnight stays will be from 11am to 6pm on Tuesday, November 21st, and returns will be on Sunday, November 26th and his Monday, November 27th.

The Franklin County Dog Shelter is located at 4340 Tamarack Blvd, Columbus, OH, 43229.
