Halloween isn't just for kids. Have fun with your pet at the Howl-O-Ween 2: Electric Papaloo event at the Bowie, Maryland dog park.
The event on Friday, Oct. 27 will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.
Treats will be provided for both humans and dogs, but the purpose of this event is to support local pet owners.
“We're going to have a pet food pantry at the dog park,” said Officer Jessica Gaunt with Bowie Animal Control.
She said people are being asked to donate dog training equipment such as collars, leashes, clickers, food and treats to the pantry to help pet owners. She said she wants to help people who don't always have the funds to get the equipment they need to train their dogs.
Gaunt said participants will receive a raffle ticket for each item they donate.
She said there will be a raffle at the end of the evening and the winner will receive a Halloween-themed prize basket containing healthy dog treats, a snuffle feeding mat and cleaning supplies for pet messes. .
You are encouraged to bring your dog in a costume, and to dress up yourself.
