Keep Your Dog’s Nose and Paws Moisturized With Natural Ingredients

by Bella Woof

After a day spent playing in winter weather, your dog’s nose and paws should get a little TLC to keep them in peak condition – especially when you’re coming back indoors where the air can be extra warm and dry. The premium ingredients in kin+kind‘s soothing Nose & Paw Moisturizer ($11.99),  part of a line of all-natural grooming and pet care products, can deliver what your pup needs.

Made with shea butter, jojoba oil, beeswax, and vitamin E, the hydrating stick softens, protects, and heals tender noses and paws. And smearing it on your pooch is easy thanks to the convenient, deodorant-like applicator. Other kin + kind products — sulfate- and paraben-free shampoo and conditioner, anti-flea and -tick body sprays, and hot spot relief sticks — contain gentle ingredients too, such as aloe, organic coconut oil, organic witch hazel, tea tree oil for its antibacterial and antiviral properties (although it shouldn’t be used on cats), and essential oil fragrances. All the goods are veterinarian tested and approved for use on all dog breeds.

Founded last year by twins Janine and Thomas Ling, kin+kind came about as a smart alternative to some of the harsher cleansers on the market. As rescue dog lovers, the Ling siblings knew they had to come up with better remedies, especially for their pups who had severe environmental allergens.

Today, they have their own U.S.-based manufacturing facility and pay their employees a living wage well beyond the industry standard. They also donate food and assist with adoptions at Travelling 4 Paws and Elizabeth Animal Shelter.
