ABOUT THE QR CODE: Ping Tag is our provider of QR codes. A Ping Tag Lite membership is included for free, allowing you to display your contact information when the tag is scanned, and to update it without having to change the QR code. You can also upgrade to a Ping Tag Premium membership anytime to add multiple contacts and a public message to the tag’s page.
HOW THE QR CODE WORKS: When you receive the dog tag, scan it for the first time to register it. Scanning it will open a web page that allows you to create a free Ping Tag account and add your tag to it. Once your tag is added to your account, you can add your contact information like your name, email and a backup phone number, and that information will show up on the page that opens when someone scans the tag in the future.
INCLUDES PINGTAG LITE MEMBERSHIP FOR LIFE: This allows you to add name, email and backup phone number and to update that info any time without having to change the QR code or get a new tag. So for instance, if you’re traveling, you can update the contact information on the QR code to be your dog’s sitter’s phone number.
NO APP NEEDED AND UPGRADES OF THE MEMBERSHIP ARE AVAILABLE: You can upgrade to a Ping Tag Premium membership anytime to add more information about your pet in the landing page (behavioral issues, health issues, vet’s information, etc.), add a photo of your pet, add multiple contacts to that page, and get a scan alert with the location as soon as someone scans your tag. There is no special app required to download or install for the tag to work.
LASER ENGRAVED AND CLEAR TEXT: Our engraving is clear and easy to read. Since the engraving is permanent, it is important that you please double check your customization before submitting the order because due to the nature of the product (custom engraved) it can’t be modified once is made.
